Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

TimeCapsule is built for personal and shared memories sealed for the future. To keep the community safe and the Service reliable, you must use it lawfully and respectfully.

2. Allowed use

• Create personal or shared capsules with content you have rights to
• Invite others, use access codes, or publish public capsules intentionally
• Comment, follow, bookmark, and interact in good faith
• Customize themes and profiles within available tools

3. Prohibited content and conduct

You may not upload, seal, share, or promote content that:

• Is illegal under applicable law
• Exploits or endangers minors, including any sexual content involving minors
• Involves non-consensual intimate imagery, stalking, doxxing, or targeted harassment
• Contains malware, ransomware instructions intended for harm, or phishing material
• Infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights
• Promotes violent extremism, terrorism, or credible threats of violence
• Is spam, scam, deceptive, or mass-unsolicited commercial messaging
• Attempts to bypass unlock rules, access controls, rate limits, or security measures

You also may not:

• Scrape or harvest user data without permission
• Impersonate others in a misleading way
• Use automated bots that degrade the Service (except ordinary browser tooling or APIs we expressly allow)
• Probe, scan, or attack our systems

4. Public Discover & profiles

Public capsules and profile information can be seen by anyone with access to Discover or your public profile URL. Do not publish sensitive personal data, secrets, or others’ private information without clear rights and consent.

5. Enforcement

When we reasonably believe this policy was violated, we may:

• Remove or restrict content
• Limit features or visibility
• Suspend or terminate accounts
• Report to law enforcement when appropriate

We may act without prior notice when needed to protect users, the Service, or legal compliance.

6. Reporting

Report abuse, illegal content, or policy violations to legal@timecapsule.company. Include URLs, capsule IDs, and a short description when possible.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
